Birdie

Birdie

"Birdie is the most amazing birddog I have ever seen. At seven months she out performed preserve dogs so much that the guide put his dogs up."

Jeb Murray

Breeze

Breeze

"Breeze is a bird finding machine in the field. Her nose is remarkable, as is her style and confidence. She also has made the best housedog that I have ever owned."

Rocket

Rocket

"I was amazed that my Red Setter puppy (from Sarahsetter Kennels) was ready to go bird hunting when I picked him up at four and a half months old."

Stan Lunsden

Ash

Ash

"I sent [Ash] for additional training to N.D. with a field trial trainer that only runs pointers. He was reluctant to accept him but after about 2 months he called me and said 'I don't know where you got Ash from but he is one of the best setters I have seen.' Ash handles so easily that he is a joy to hunt with. He runs as big as any Pointer that I have hunted with and I can bring him back in when the cover gets thick. You should be proud of the dogs you produce!"

Cracker

Cracker

"I was killing birds over him at 4 months old, and by 10 months he was handling woodcocks like a pro. I wish I could take credit for his success, but he has been a natural since day one. My training program has been to keep him in birds and hunt him hard. This dog has trained himself and is showing me things at 10 months that I would only expect to see in a three year old. He has a great nose and is already an above average bird finder. He handles well and is solid on point, never creeping on birds. I've been hunting Pointers for 30 years and I've had some good ones, but I think this setterpup is going to be one of the best I've ever had. Everything you told me about your line of setters has been right on. They're natural bird dogs and they develop at an early age."

Pearl

Pearl

"I had [Pearl] on a preserve hunt, unguided, and guide was hunting an area near me with his dogs, I was unaware that he was watching Pearl and me. Pearl found all of the 30 birds they put out. After the hunt, the guide said that Pearl was hunting better than some of his dogs that have hunted on that preserve for 4 and 5 years. This is when she was 7 months old."

Copper

Copper

"Copper is already the best quail dog out of 12 dogs at my lease. She really tuned in well. At first she spent some time pointing tweety birds but the last couple of hunts she has been all buisness. She's a sweet dog besides. My brother and I have shot 150 quail over her so far. She has been excellent at coveys and singles. I would be interested in another Copper sometime within the next coulpe of years. From what I can see she has the potential to be as good a quail dog as I have ever hunted with."

Moon

Moon

"Moon is doing well and continues to improve. She is enthusiastic, bold, has an outstanding nose, hunts well with other dogs and has turned into a sweetheart around the house. She certainly has the potential to be outstanding. [Allen's newest update] Moon really has come into her own, great intensity, bold, desire, style..all under contol. She has developed into a complete bird dog. I hunted Moon in October then later over Thanksgiving in Iowa, she is a pheasent finding machine. Back here in North Carolina our results are reflective of a declining wild bird resource but she took advantage of what was there."

Allen Warrick
Hapmstead, North Carolina

Cappuccino

Cappuccino

"Cap has brought a lot of joy into our home and we've never seen a funnier imp. He immediatly adjusted to the home life-he curls up on the couch with whomever will let him cuddle. he's smart, affectionate and well behaved with children, other dogs and other types of animals. His ability to adjust his life to ours is a testament to good breeding, good nutrition and early positive reinforcement training. We had a few opprotunities to take him out dove hunting. Once he learned what the game was he was very energetic and enthusiastic about the hunt. He has done excellent with his house training and gets very excited about our training sessions in the yard. We are still interested in a second Boykin and hope that you will keep us in mind with future litters."

Roast

Roast

"Here are a few words to describe this intense, savvy and energetic dog, truly bird finding machine. The first quail I shot in Kansas was retrieved by Roast, it was unreal. Roast has progressed very rapidly in retrieving, flash pointing and finding dead birds like we can't beleive! Sometimes he even backs the pointers...yes sir-backing, too! Every weekend since we got him he has hunt with us and that has made us extremly happy and I'm sure you love to hear that as well. Roast is in great hands, and with as many years of happiness awaiting him in the fields of Kansas and other places if God permits. On the other hand I am personally looking to buy a couple more Boykins as soon as you have some avaliable for us. My most wonderful regards to you, and the training lady (Andrea Workman) for the fantastic job you did!"

Pembroke

Pembroke

"Pem's inside buddy is a 13 year old Golden, Sab. I am working in the yard with [Pem] everyday. She is extremely smart; Kim says she is smarter than the both of us. She has been handling well but occasionally wants to do her own thing. She still has a lot of puppy in her, obviously. She is going to be great."
