Field Training
Sarhsetter's field training is open to pointing breeds and upland retrievers. Obedience is used as the foundation for feild training. For an example, how
does one expect a dog to come when called out in the field, if he does not respect or comply with commands in close range? We teach heeling, to come when
called, to kennel on command, silent body handling, to stand in the presence of game, to honor point and if requested, to retrieve. The fist thing we do is
condition your dog to low levels of reinforcement. We take your dog to our three acre, fenced pasture. We walk down the pasture and then while using the
lowest level your dog can feel, we turn the collar on as we turn 180 degrees. After a few days your dog has learned that by staying to the front he turns
the collar off. This is actual training because your dog is learning.
